Composite Motors is Hiring a Controller Near Brooksville, FL
Position Overview:
Direct financial activities of Composite Motors, Inc as well as other closely held sister companies. Financial activities include tax compliance, tax planning, and accurate accounting services for a manufacturing environment.
Salary: Starting at $80,000 depending on experience.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervising accounting and finance departments for Composite Motors, Inc as well as other closely held sister companies.
- Understand and apply current IRS code and Revenue rulings especially as it applies to manufacturing.
- Create strategic plans for financial operations and recommend benchmarks against which to measure the performance of company operations.
- Preparing financial statements, both internal and external.
- Ensuring compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations and reporting requirements.
- Coordinating external auditor activity.
- Providing company leaders with cost reports and insights for decision-making purposes.
- Assess and improve accounting procedures. Create documented procedures where none exist.
- Identify, develop, and monitor KPIs by which the accounting department may be measured.
- Maintain and control accounting records in compliance with company retention policies and applicable rules and laws.
- Ensure that accounts payables and required debts are paid in a timely manner with all reasonable discounts.
- Ensure that accounts receivables are collected promptly.
- Process payroll in a timely manner.
- Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed.
- Maintain the chart of accounts.
- Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
- Issue timely and complete financial statements.
- Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report.
- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and calculate variances for discussions with Management.
- Utilize the ERP system for all accounting systems unless it does not have the capability.
